Guide
Turn off a monitor without sleeping Windows.
For an office workstation, sleep mode is often the wrong tool. The PC may need to stay reachable through Remote Desktop while the physical monitor goes dark.
The difference
Turning off the monitor affects the display. Sleeping the PC affects the whole machine: CPU, network, sessions, scheduled work, and Remote Desktop availability.
Why this matters for Remote Desktop
A workstation used over RDP should remain awake and reachable. Display standby reduces the visible physical screen state without cutting off access to the machine.
Where MonitorFlow fits
MonitorFlow is built for this exact workflow: request monitor standby, wake the display locally, and apply after-hours rules while the Windows PC remains available.
